At Bella’s Mini Jerseys, we’re passionate about raising exceptional miniature Jersey cattle right here in the scenic countryside of Eagle, Idaho. Our farm isn’t just a business—it’s a way of life, built on love, dedication, and care for our animals.
My journey with cows started when I was just a little girl. My dad sold milk, and I loved nothing more than helping him in the barn, milking cows and being around them. When he eventually got out of the business, I never lost the desire to be back in that world. I knew I wanted cows of my own someday. A few years later I got some! Because I was still just a small girl, full-size cows were a bit too much for me—so my dad helped me get my very first two miniature Jerseys, Venus and Queen Anne.
Venus was halter broke, and I led her around just about everywhere I went. Queen Anne—or Queenie—was the first heifer I ever halter broke myself. It was tough, but incredibly rewarding. She learned to follow me just like Venus did, and I was hooked.
Since then, I’ve grown my herd from just two cows into many beautiful girls, all ready to calve and raise the next generation of high-quality miniature Jerseys. Over the years, I’ve poured my heart into learning everything I can—from bottle feeding and pulling calves, to giving shots, milking, helping newborns nurse, halter breaking, and even the occasional wrangling session (plus falling into more than one giant cow pie along the way!). There have been hard moments, including losses that taught me painful but important lessons—but I’ve always known, if I never failed, I’d never succeed.
I chose to turn this passion into my work because I love it that much. Every cow here is raised with hands-on care, in wide open pastures, where they graze freely and grow up friendly and well-loved. We brush them, give them treats, train them, and care for them day and night—
